I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Epic in Mar 2014
Interview
I made it through until the second to last round of the hiring process. The first round was the initial application, followed by a phone interview. I then had to complete a two hour (limit) writing exercise. That wasn't too bad. If you have decent writing skills, you should be fine. I then had to complete a two-hour online assessment. The assessment is given to all prospective employees. It contained only one writing related section, plus several logic and programming sections. As a writer, I am not "smart" in those ways, and that tripped me up. I knew afterward I had done very poorly on the overall assessment and was not surprised when I was not asked to complete the final round of hiring.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The most difficult thing was the final assessment. It's frustrating to be evaluated for my logic and programming skills when I am interviewing to be a writer, but I suppose they want all their employees to be proficient in basic programming?
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Epic (Verona, WI) in May 2014
Interview
I applied to be a technical writer and I went through the whole phone interview process, skills assessment, etc. The skills assessment was pretty tough. I was contacted about a week after saying they were going to pursue other candidates, but they offered me a final in-person interview for a quality assurance position. Not exactly what I expected, but I suppose it is worth a try.

Question 1
Programming skills questions were very difficult. The purpose is to see how quickly you can learn the skills, but it was very challenging, even for someone with average-above average intelligence.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Epic in Apr 2014
Interview
They were thorough, moved quickly, asked a lot of interesting questions, and answered any and all questions that I had. This interview process was wonderful, although I am not yet finished with it, regardless of whether or not i get the job their hiring process is tremendous.
