I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Epic in Sep 2021
Interview
The process was easy to follow. There were some skill assessments that took a couple of hours, that you do on the spot sent by email and they had mentioned it is not something you prepare for. The person who had the phone call with me was very pleasant, asked great questions, we spoke about the company, the role day-to-days and culture.

Question 1
How did you get into UX Design?
What do you know about Epic?
Can you tell me about this role?
Are you comfortable with travel?
Overall, the interview process was fairly straightforward. I had an initial phone interview with a recruiter, and then a phone interview with someone on the design team. I was then asked to complete some assessments which were a bit intense. They mostly consisted of logic and quick math sort of questions, but the entire testing was 4 hrs long which is kind of ridiculous. I was also asked to complete a design challenge which consisted of basically designing a UI. I put the full 10 hours of time in and felt pretty good about it but did not receive a followup after submitting for a week or so. I was then told I was not going to be hired and that was that. Essentially the whole process was straightforward, but I felt it was a bit drawn out and did not really present a great way for a UX job candidate to demonstrate their skill set.

Tell me about yourself?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Epic (Syracuse, NY) in Nov 2021
Interview
The first interview with Epic was very casual, with a more casual conversation occurring, rather than a formal interview feeling. Some of my background was explored, as well as the reason for my interest in the company. The role and environment of the company was described, before a couple of questions were asked, and then the interview ended.
