The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at European Wax Center (Los Angeles, CA)
Interview
I actually had a very strange and disappointing experience with this company. So I had a phone interview with the hiring manager and then another phone interview with the hiring manager and the franchise owner which all went great the last “interview” which wasn’t really a interview just a get too know me was a FaceTime interview which I thought also went great but I didn’t hear anything after. So I sent a follow message to the hiring manager to find out I didn’t get the job. It’s very strange to find out I had done great in the interview process up into the FaceTime interview which makes me believe I was either discriminated against for who I am as a person or my ethnicity.
After applying for a Corporate Field Trainer role with EWC on LinkedIn I was contacted (through email) by an EWC Talent Coordinator to schedule an initial phone interview to share more about the role also to get a feel for my personality. The initial interview went well and I was advanced to the next stage of the interview process.
The second interview consisted of a Zoom meeting interview with the Field Training Manager who shared details about her role, the team and asked questions about my employment history, time management and relative skills to the role.
The Talent Coordinator reached out to inform me that the Field Training Manager would like to schedule an interview (Zoom meeting) with the Director of Operations. The interview again, talked about the role but questions were asked how I can be of influence in areas where there has be consistent non-aligned behaviors which were relative to the Field Trainer role.
At this point, I thought the interview process was complete. I was contacted again for a fourth interview with the CFrO (Chief Franchise Office). We had the opportunity to meet in-person (respecting all Covid guidelines) at an outdoor coffee café midway because we live in the same state.
Lastly, I was contacted for the final interview to meet (Zoom) with HR. After the last interview (day or two later) the Talent Coordinator called to inform me that an offer would like to be extended. Details were discussed regarding compensation and other benefits. I verbally accepted the offer, and the offer letter was sent via email confirming offer contingencies.

Interview
My interview process for this corporate position was overall a great virtual experience during the COVID-19 pandemic! EWC started as a family owned business and the vibe still exists today - I felt part of the family from day one during my first phone call interview. The recruiter was extremely communicative every step of the way and would send check in emails throughout the process. She went above and beyond to ensure she answered any questions I had in a prompt manner. Plus, she was a joy to work and the kindest recruiter I have ever worked with.
