Applied through a Recruiter. Phone interview followed by face to face interview in London.
The questions asked, and my overall impression lead me to believe that there is an incredibly strange corporate culture at Experian.
All companies will ask you about their products/services in an interview, but Experian took this to an extreme. Both interviews focused far more on my knowledge of Experian's products than on my experience or the role. However I had been prepared for this, so I think I did well here.
I was asked many vague questions about what I would do in various sales or client meeting situations. I can't recall many exact questions (interview was almost a year ago), but the vagueness stood out. This, for a graduate role, where no sales / client meeting experience was expected. The vague questions about specific situations were repeated several times, with slight variations. Whatever specific answer they were looking for, I wasn't able to provide it. Moderately frustrating for all present.
The other line of repeated questioning was regarding management styles. One question that stood out was "If you take this role <1st interviewer> here will be your manager. What kind of manager do you think they would be?"
I also was asked to prepare a powerpoint presentation about a recent project I had completed, which went well.
There was a simple programming task (write a sort algorithm on paper, I used C++) at the end of the interview.
Offices looked nice. However the culture of the place, and the personalities/priorities of the interviewers gave me a very negative impression of the organisation. I don't know whether they would have offered, but I told the recruiter I wasn't interested.
