I received a phone call at 8.45 a.m., the time people are busy with morning commute and appointments from an Experian recruiter to discuss the role of Senior Social Media & Influencer Manager. Since the call was neither planned nor arranged in advance, I asked if we could reschedule for 30 minutes later, as I was on my way to an appointment. However, the recruiter said she needed to join the meeting and pressured me to have a five-minute conversation immediately. The call lasted 30 minutes.
At the end of our conversation, the recruiter assured me that she would send an email with the hiring manager's availability so we could schedule the first round of interviews. However, I never received the email. I followed up with a text and also made a call, but I have not received any response. I was simply ghosted. Extremely unprofessional approach to hiring.
