I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at FDM Group (Londres, Inglaterra) in Nov 2012
Interview
Telephone interview: (5-15min)
They ask you about your interest in the position, what experience you have (if any), and what sort of projects you were involved in at university.
Assessment day: (whole day)
The assessment day starts off with pretty much an introduction on what it will consist of, after that brief is over. They test how well you can present yourself. You're asked to introduce yourself to everybody, and then think of a person (dead or alive) that you wish you could have a dinner with.
The next exercise was to take on the persona of your dinner guest and form a group of four. You then had to imagine that you were on a sinking ship and had to kill off one of the members your group. You have to try and persuade your group why your character should be kept on the boat while FDM monitor and take notes on how you are communicating with your group.
You then have an interview with two people that ask you about your experience, your skills, why you want to work at FDM, what projects you were involved in, and general competency based questions.
There's a note taking exercise where you need to jot down the most important points from a video then write a formal summary of what the video consisted of. The one I had was about loans/ and mortgages.
Next, there's a technical test that tests basic programming concepts, and general computing principles.
Finally they give you an induction presentation.

Interview
Company puts you through a 4 month training process as their trainee and after training is over they get you an interview with one of their clients. They have a contract for 2 years that starts once you are placed with one of their clients.
Interview process was a brief introduction and powerpoint followed up by a competency test which consisted of basic programming questions and a few logic questions. Then was a technical interview followed by an HR interview, neither were terribly difficult.

Interview
I recently went in for their assessment day in NYC. I will be starting training in a week.
The assessment day consisted of an hour long written test and two one-on-one interviews. The test is composed of some technical questions, some project management questions, coding examples and questions on them. You don't need more than a first semester programming course to answer the questions about the example code. If you're a project management applicant, I believe they mark you more leniently because they don't expect you to have a background in programming.
My first interview was a technical one where I was asked about the skills I wrote on my resume (if you wrote something there, you better know it - at least somewhat) and I was asked to show some code I had written.
My second interview was more to see how interested I was in FDM in general, what fields I'd be more interested in, how my previous experiences (work + college) affect my ideas about how my career should look in the future, etc.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I wasn't ready for questions about skills which were mentioned on my resume but which I had only minimal exposure to.
