I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Fortinet (Bengaluru) in Jan 2017
Interview
The interview was really good. HR manager and the Team Manager were friendly which built a self confidence in myself.
The questions were pretty straight forward and I can say that day changed my life (mark my words)
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Fortinet (Sunrise, FL) in Jun 2016
Interview
I first got a mail from a technical person asking for my availability for a phone interview. The interview went for like half an hour with good amount of questions testing my roundabout knowledge in Networking. The very next day morning I got a call from a Fortinet HR asking for my availability for a Skype interview with a technical person for an hour. I should say the interview was pretty good and again like the first interview, this too had me testing my overall knowledge in Computer Networking. And the last few minutes had the Hiring Manager talk about the position and he ensured me that they will say a decision in exactly a week's time. A week passed by and exactly at the end of the 7th day, I got a mail from the HR asking for my availability to speak with her. I was bouncing here and there that she was going to break the good news. I took the call and she asked me some behavioral questions and said they are interested in getting me on-board. I was jumping with joy. The same day she initiated the background verification process. Then things slowly started to go south from here. After the background verification got over I mailed her about further steps. At that time, I had an important document to be received from the government pertaining to my eligibility to work in US. She said that she wanted me to immediately let her know once I receive that document. I did do that and waited for her reply. A week passed by, I again mailed her about what was happening and what were the next steps in the on-boarding process. She replied saying a few key people were on vacation and she will let me know in a week's time. Two weeks passed by and there was zero communication for her end. I was starting to get tensed as I literally stopped applying to different companies and was not getting calls as well. I mailed her again and finally she drops the bomb by saying they have put the position on hold and that they would consider me for that position once it opens up again. I was totally shattered as this wasted more than a month of my wait. All that was left was nothing but extreme disappointment and the pain of starting to apply and do the process all over again, let alone the fact that I had to find a job within a specific deadline. Never give hopes to a candidate only to crush the same in the end and I can promise you that this does have a psychological effect on the person as a whole.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Fortinet (Praga) in Apr 2013
Interview
Got 2 calls from HR and the manager. I was then invited to see the office and have a technical interview with one of the managers and senior engineer. They asked several questions about general networking (TCP/IP, routing ,switching, subnetting etc), then some security. There were also some logical thinking tasks (like simple math equations). It took around 60 minutes, including a chat about why I want to work here, what are my goals etc. - they have just tried to learn which kind of person I am and whether I will be a good fit to the team.
