I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Fortinet (Vancouver, BC) in Aug 2016
Interview
I spoke to a hiring manager at a job fair, he looked through my resume and asked me some questions about my experiences to get a sense of how "green" I may be. It was very conversational and he really seemed to like me, he said I would definitely hear back from them.
He knew I was a new graduate and did not have an opening on his team, but did have a front-end position on another team (not the best fit for my experience) and he mentioned typically they hire more experienced people for those roles.
2-3 days later I received an email from HR to schedule an offline 48hr test and more information about the role. After that i did not hear back from them (not surprising since my solution was only about 70% done, although I enjoyed it and learned a lot while doing it). It would be nice if they sent a declined email rather than nothing at all.

I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Fortinet (Vancouver, BC) in Mar 2016
Interview
Initially a HR lady contacted me through email to ask some questions on my education, availability, status in Canada, and GPA. Next step was a 2.5 hours written test on C, Python, Ajax/web questions etc. The questions were too hard, you can easily solve everything in an hour or so. After that they did not reply at all.

1. A written test, which is not necessary for intern;
2. Two team managers interviewed me. One asked me things I listed on my resume to make sure I didn't lie about anything, and I think he is also trying to find where my upper limit is.
3. The second interviewer went over those questions on the written test and asked me why did I put those answers. He wants to know how I think.
