I applied online. I interviewed at GE (Bengaluru) in Sep 2022
Interview
Do not waste your time they will ghost you after all the rounds. HR's doesn't have the courtesy to inform you that you are selected. On multiple follow up they replied by saying we need an immediate joiner within 5 days. the irony is they themself took a month to complete the whole process but they want people to join in the blink of an eye. The process is lengthy, I gave 5 rounds[1 technical, 1 techno Managerial, 2 directors round, and 1 HR].

Interview
Awful experience !
Interviewer joined the call late , didn't introduced himself, asked me to introduce myself but shown no interest. Cut me in between my introduction. Started complaining about my internet connection so I shared my screen and open speed test for him .. lol .
Then he started saying that he hear someone whispering , I turned around my laptop and shown him 360 view of my room that I am alone .. again lol.
Then he found that in my resume I wrote 2026 instead on 2016 in my graduation year , this was when I was answering him some question. I mean if you are not interested then don't take interview why do you have to waste someone's time like this.
PS : the question he asked be [5+ work ex in java dev] was : write a program to find average age of employee. Difference between Overloading and Overriding. what is final, finally and finalized.
I mean seriously this is your level of question for this experience.
Then he rejected me .. LOL
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
find average of employee age.
Random question on project.
The interview process started out with a quick phone call about expectations and other details about the profile. Then we have two more sessions with team members. The first one was more conceptual than hands-on. Questions like "describe an accomplishment in your area that you are proud of", "describe a decision in your career that you regret", work-style related questions, etc.
The other technical one was hands-on C++ coding on a shared editor. They were quite helpful and open to me in terms of looking up the internet for syntaxes and other details about the code I was writing. Lastly, I had a very friendly conversation with the top management (not HR but the director of the team). It was pleasant getting to know each other and more technical questions as well. He helped me figure them out rather than letting me just struggle, so that was nice. The last session was with the original point of contact who has been in touch and scheduling these sessions since the beginning of the process. He wants to know the expectations and joining details, work authorization, etc.
