Question 1
It was quite informal, they asked me about my working experience in games, if I had worked with or developed some game engine before.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Gameloft (Montreal, QC)
Interview
They got back to me within a couple of days of my application. After a phone interview during which they described benefits and asked me for my salary expectations, they decided to ask me to fill in a test which gave me several scenarios -- a video brief to write, a forum post in the event that a release might have a bug in it, that sort of thing. They liked it enough to bring me in for a ~70-minute interview in the office with the hiring manager and another community manager, which was very pleasant. While I ultimately was not offered the job, they provided very useful feedback on why and some suggestions for the future, which I appreciated a lot. Overall, I learned a lot from the process and was very impressed by the way they did things.
