I was contacted by a recruiter with whom I conducted an introductory telephone interview with. She was lovely - very friendly and made me feel instantly at ease.
She immediately informed me at the end of the interview that I would progress to the next stage - a telephone mock sales pitch followed immediately by a series of competency based questions.
I successfully made it through this stage to move forward to the on site interviews.
I was flown to Dublin to partake in three face-to-face, back to back, 45 minute interviews, with three different employees.
They were very friendly and informative.
Unfortunately I did not make it through to the final stage but it was a fantastic learning experience.

Question 1
The most difficult question I was asked was to play the role of a sales associate in order to convince a local restaurant owner the benefits of online advertising.
The process was pretty easy and straight forward. Depending on level usually a couple rounds of interviews but just depends. We’re all done virtually and less than one hour. Very responsive during whole process.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Google (Xangai, Xangai) in Feb 2026
