I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Groupon (Chicago, IL) in Jan 2016
Interview
Submitted my application 7 weeks before being contacted. I had a phone screening with Talent Acquisition and was then invited to interview in person. I got a brief tour of the office with TA, and was led to a meeting room. I met with 2 department managers for about 30 minutes each. I was led out by Talent Acquisition, who sounded very optimistic about an offer. The interview took place on a Friday, and I was told that I would find out by the following Monday (at the latest) with an offer. I did not hear anything on Monday. I followed up via email with TA for an update on my application, and was told Tuesday afternoon that I would hear a response by the end of the week. I was not contacted until the following Monday.

Question 1
If you were thrown into this position with no training, how would you handle it?
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Groupon (Chicago, IL) in Feb 2016
Interview
I applied and was asked to do a phone screen two days later. I was asked to start off the interview by telling the recruiter about myself, why I'm applying, how I heard about the position and what makes me a good fit. I thought those were a lot of questions to answer to start off the interview, but I gave it my best shot. There weren't many questions about how my background related to the position, but a bunch of random scenario questions. There were also a lot of long pauses from the recruiter and it made me feel uncomfortable. Maybe it was a test, but it made the call very awkward and the conversation didn't flow very well. I also had the close the conversation, which I thought was strange too. I would have liked to speak or meet with someone different.

Question 1
How would you tell a customer about Groupon who has never used it?
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Groupon (Chicago, IL) in Nov 2015
Interview
The interview started with a phone screening with a recruiter, then the recruiter invited me in for two in-person interviews in the same day. I was told I would meet with the head of the department and one of the managers within that department. The manager brought in another guy without telling me, which I thought was extremely unprofessional. Both interviews seemed to go well. I answered all of their questions with a smile on my face.
