I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Groupon
Interview
30 minute phone screen with a recruiter
45 minute phone screen with hiring manager
virtual panel interview with 4 people that lasted about 4-5 hours total and included: hiring manager, design person, engineering person, and department head
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
standard product management questions around backlog management, how you work with design and engineering teams, etc.
The interviewers had good questions and were kind enough. The typical questions you can expect. Nothing out of the blue. Only one interviewer was a little curt but I guess that's the stress test.
I interviewed for the Pricing and Promotions team. It was a pretty quick turn around and my recruiter was knowledge and helpful throughout the process.
First Round: Recruiter screen. Asked questions about my resume and my interest in Groupon
Second Round: 1 on 1 with a PM from a different team. I thought it went well but they wanted someone with more pricing experience
Third Round: Had I made it here, it would have been 4 interviews with Hiring Manager and different members of the product team
