Salary: The salary offered usually matches or exceeds what the employee would earn in their home country for a similar position. This is to ensure that the expatriate feels adequately compensated for taking on an assignment in a foreign country.
Relocation Costs: These include expenses related to moving abroad, such as shipping of personal belongings, travel expenses for the employee and family members, and sometimes even a scouting trip to the host country prior to the move.
Housing and Living Expenses: Contracts often provide allowances for housing, which may cover rent in full or in part. Additionally, allowances may cover other living expenses that are higher in the host country than in the employee's home country.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Hilton (New York, NY) in May 2016
Interview
The interview was fairly easy with basic questions. It seems like its a lot of who-you-know, not what-you-know. Took very long to hear back. The recruiter was unorganized an unknowledgeable.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Hilton (New York, NY) in Apr 2014
Interview
Very good, thorough, not surpsising, it was very scary as one of my first interviews after graduating from university, but altogether the questions were not surprising. The questions were the usual, and the process was a bit longer than i had hoped for.
