I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Infosys in Feb 2010
Interview
You need to have 70% minimum in your Engg to be eligible for selection. Then there is an aptitude test which should be easy presuming that one is preparing for GRE/CAT in their final year of graduation.Once this is cleared, then there is an interview which is the final stage for selection. It was a 1:1 interview and the HR was very cool.No technical stuff asked in Infosys recruitments.Just questions about project and seminars, extra curricular activities and stuff like that. Total time in the interview room was about 4-5 mins.

Interview
Following the assessment test, got shortlisted for the interview phase. The session itself was very smooth; the interviewer created a supportive and comfortable environment right from the beginning. The conversation centered around my project, where I had the opportunity to detail its technical aspects, architectural choices, and the underlying motivation for building it.
Multiple rounds including face to face and aptitude depending on the role type and resume and project related questions were asked with focus on technical concepts including data structures and algorithms
The recruitment process started with an online assessment that included aptitude, reasoning, verbal ability, and programming questions. Candidates who cleared the assessment were invited for a technical and HR interview. The interview lasted around 30 minutes and focused on Java fundamentals, projects mentioned in the resume, OOP concepts, certifications, and basic HR questions. The interviewers were friendly and gave sufficient time to answer.
