I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Intact (Montreal, QC) in Mar 2026
Interview
The interview with HR was quite uncomfortable, she did not wanted to know about how my experiences matches the job but focus only on why did I leave every job that I had, what type of visa did I had at that given job (what should not matter because it's a past experience and now I am a permanent resident). This is the second interview that I had with Intact's HR that felt very unprofessional.

Question 1
Why did you leave every job that you had?
What type of visa did you had in your previous roles?
First half was purely behavioural. Many questions on past experiences when and where you showed some had struggles or showed perseverance. Second half was a simple technical where you were given a python class and program and you needed to explain what it did.

Given a stack implementation in Python, trace through the code
Situational and behavioural questions (describe a time when (blank), share a weakness, etc.). Ran through my resume and asked me to confirm all the information. Was also asked to complete a 45min assessment (pattern recognition and behavioural questions) following the interview that would help them determine more behavioural questions to ask if I received a second interview.
