HR screen first. After the HR screen, substantive interviews. There were 3 interviews with the team: 2 with team members divided into 2 groups of a few people each and, 1 with the head of the group. Each interview was around 30 minutes to an hour long.
I applied online. I interviewed at Intercontinental Exchange in Feb 2021
Interview
3 rounds - 1st was a phone screen with hiring manager, 2nd was a webex with a manager from the team, 3rd was a webex with another manager.
The 1st round the hiring manager he never showed - some mix up with HR. No apology or anything. Had to be rescheduled.
After 3 rounds and couple weeks passing, I received a very informal rejection email after my follow up. I asked for any useful feedback, but no response at all.
Not a good feeling from this company. The initial dropping of the ball on round 1 and no feedback after going through 3 rounds rubs me the wrong way. I'm totally fine not working for this company.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Mostly general questions about my experience, and plenty of technical questions to test my product knowledge.
Great experience interviewing. Lots of the questions were coding/technical, but based on what I mentioned in my resume, rather than cookie cutter brain teasers. Expect some white board coding and data structures questions.

Question 1
One of the questions was a Java whiteboard coding question about binary trees. I don't remember details. Average difficulty. The problem was well formed with no ambiguity.
