Simply apply - You get to speak to someone. They tell you about the job. But its Not really for General Manager. Its for sales. The Job description said General Manager, which i have 5+ manager experience in sales. Overall very misleading. Why should someone start from the bottom when they have experience already in management?
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Nothing really. Don't expect to be asked hard questions. They more explain the job and try to get you to buy into it to do sales door to door, and etc.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at LA Fitness (Miami, FL)
Interview
I applied online on their website and it took them two weeks to call me in for an interview on the following day. I went in, waited maybe 10 minutes and was called in. The manager asked me one basic question which was "Why LA Fitness?" I proceeded to respond in a very generic manner as well and said it would be a great place to work at and to meet new people. He did most of the talking after that, explaining paychecks, commission on phone calls, etc... Told me to go back on Monday to fill out the employment papers, to bring my social security, a blank check, and my driver's license.
I applied online. I interviewed at LA Fitness (Alhambra, CA)
Interview
I applied online because I thought working for a gym would be super fun. I was contacted by a manger the next day and had my first interview. Then I was asked to come back to speak with the Vice President via webcam. I was very honest throughout my interviews saying that I am in college and go two days a week. I told them of all my upcoming events happening and they were fine with all of that. The vp even said I could pick my own schedule for either morning or night shifts and then hired me on the spot as a fitness director aka devil salesman with no soul. They straight up lied 4x during the interview process because when I started the next day they said I had to work split shifts 9-12 and then again 4-8. They put me in a gym that I didn't apply for in a town that took me 30 min to drive to. I also must work 6 days a week for a total of 40 plus hours a week with no benefits. They were straight up scamming people so I quit. Stay clear away from this place
