I applied online. I interviewed at LA Fitness in Sep 2016
Interview
Applied online and called & hired on the spot the next day. Very easy and straightforward interview, basic interview questions and explains the job (which is a lot of cold calling).
I applied online. I interviewed at LA Fitness (Dallas, TX) in Mar 2016
Interview
It consisted of two separate interviews. The first interview was formal, discussed management styles former employment, the usual things. The second interview we discussed the job more in depth and pay structure.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at LA Fitness (Wheaton, MD) in Feb 2017
Interview
consisted of an informal 10 minute phone interview followed by 30 minute formal interview on location. Met with the district manager of the regional clubs and found her to be extremely ambitious and motivating. However, it seems that the business model of L.A. fitness is to widen their scope of members by any means necessary. Employee satisfaction and customer services did not seem to be the priority, as the ability to terminate new hires was more of a requirement than training them to provide high level customer service. While, this would have been an excellent opportunity if I were interested in climbing their corporate ladder, it did not align with my own experiences in good management practices.
