I went through two rounds of interviews for the Multimedia Designer role. As part of the process, I was tasked with creating a teaser poster, two standees, a PowerPoint presentation, a 30-second company video, and a PowerPoint presentation of my own portfolio — all within a tight timeline.
I invested significant time and effort into producing quality outputs. However, during the second interview, I was not given the opportunity to present any of this work. The panel simply said there wasn’t enough time.
As a designer with 20 years of experience, I found this approach incredibly discouraging. Asking for that much unpaid creative work — and then not reviewing or acknowledging it — felt disrespectful to my time and profession.
If you’re a creative professional applying here, be cautious. The expectations are high, but the follow-through and communication may not meet the same standard.
