I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Mars (Slough, Berkshire, South East England, England) in Nov 2014
Interview
Online application, numerical and verbal reasoning tests, phone interview, face to face interview.
Face to face interview was at office in Slough, had 1 hour 15 minutes to complete a case study (in a room with other candidates) and then present to 2/3 assessors on your own. Presentation lasted 10 minutes and then various questions on it after. Then the same people interviewed you for about 20 minutes.

Question 1
What motivates you? What gets you out of bed in the morning? What is success to you? What could you bring that others can't?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Mars in Oct 2015
Interview
There was the standard online application that asks why you want to work for Mars and then gives several competency questions to be answered. I would make sure that you give detail about the actions that you took to pass this stage. This was followed by online tests and then a phone interview. The phone interview involved asking why I wanted to join Mars and then why I wanted to join the programme, followed by 3 competency questions based on management skills.

Question 1
Explain a time when you have helped someone else to try something new and difficult?
I applied online and answered the competency questions. Did the numerical and logical reasoning test. Then made an appointment for phone interview. While the email stated the interview will last 40 minutes, I can only book a 30-minute slot but the interview lasted only 20 minutes. I was asked four questions such as Why Mars, Why MMDP? Now still waiting for the outcome

Interview
I applied via the online system. Form was straightforward and easy to follow. Was invited to take online tests. These included a verbal and numerical tests. Both were not too difficult, although some prior practice is recommended. After passing the tests, I was invited for a telephone interview. Although the e-mail stated that the interview would take 30-40 minutes, when Mars called they told me it would only last 15-20 minutes. This surprised me, and the interview was indeed extremely short. It is difficult to show much of your character and abilities in three short questions! I did not pass the interview stage, I think because I had prepared for an interview that would go into sufficient detail whereas it probably would have been more profitable to focus on sounding excited about the company and giving off a generally positive attitude. I would recommend candidates to prepare for the need to shine in very few minutes!
