Interview
This review is specifically for the Eastgate location in Ohio. The interview was fantastic. The owner of the location came in and told me about himself, and wanted to get to know me - not just as a potential employee making him money, but as an individual. He was also aiming to gauge my confidence level and passion for the position and company. It was easy to see that the employees were a family, and I got along well with them as if they were a family of my own as well. Very pleasant atmosphere! However, I was told that they wanted me to do a practical interview and would be sending over the forms for me to review before scheduling. These were never sent to me, and it’s been around a week now hearing nothing from them. I would have contacted the salon to ask about the forms, but I accepted a new position at a different salon. Had I been offered this position before interviewing for the new salon, I would have accepted, but would not give up my current opportunity if they were to reach out.

Question 1
If you could have a warning label what would it be?
The process was made easy. I was given a tour, spoke with employees, and was kept for an hour questioning with management. The whole thing took almost two hours. But it has been made apparent they will say anything to get you in the door. Even tell you you’re a perfect fit. But they are salespeople. Their job is sales. Note that.. I was told several things in the interview, including that they respect your time and give you the courtesy of a yes or no within a day or two. I was also asked to send an email with additional information... I’ve never heard back from them. No courtesy call. No response to the email. Nothing. The management appears shifty and not trustworthy. If they behave and manage like this before you’re even hired, I can imagine the nightmare they might be as an employee. And in addition to this, they’re sneaky. You’re asked to fill out paperwork for a background check PRIOR to an offer. This exposes your age, address, social security number, and personal information. It’s an open door for quiet discrimination. I’m still looking into if this is even legal... Since my interview I’ve read several bad reviews about management and talked to a few people. And even looking back at the interview, the front desk and massage therapists I interacted with looked miserable and complained while I was there... I was built up that I was perfect for the job, but I now feel I dodged a bullet with this one.
