Interview
I had two interviews. The first over the phone. It lasted 15 minutes. Very robotic in the style. Got a second , face to face. I prepared and was very excited. Upon arrival, the panel (minus one) looked at me with zero emotions. Which I understand in an interview but the vibe was as if this was a waste of time for them. One member was multi tasking & barely listening to my responses. When I left I was told they interviewed over 300 applicants & I was their last. As if they couldn’t wait to be done. This was disappointing. Then two weeks later I received an extremely generic email letting me know I was not selected.
I understand I wasn’t the right fit & that’s ok but treat people with kindness. We work hard to interview , show some ounce of Dignity and respect. Guess I thought more of this organization.

Interview
Two part interview process. First part is a "practice interview" of sorts with HR, then the "real interview" with nurse manager of the unit. Mainly behavioral interview questions with one case study and one critical thinking scenario (prioritizing between patients). Most of the behavioral interview questions are already on Glassdoor and were very helpful for my interview prep.

Question 1
Tell me a time when you had to confront a coworker for being unprofessional or irresponsible. How did that change your working relationship?
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Mayo Clinic (Rochester, MN) in Mar 2019
Interview
Interview online and received a request for a phone interview within a few days with the hiring manager. Very brief and informative phone interview. Was invited back to interview in person with the manager and 2 other administrators. They provided a sheet of questions they were going to ask you, which was helpful. Interview was laid back and relaxed. Interviewers were all very nice and welcoming. A week or two later, I was requested to develop a presentation on a project I had managed. Since I lived an hour away, I was able to do this via videoconferencing which was great! Unfortunately, they hired someone in-house, but I did receive a personal phone call from the hiring manager telling me I did not get the position, but did inform me of another position I could also be a good fit for. I applied for that role, but unfortunately did not even get an interview. Overall a good experience interviewing at Mayo Clinic. They do reimburse you for mileage and parking.
