I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Meta (New York, NY) in Feb 2025
Interview
First round is a HR tech screen to gauge experience and recent projects. Basically a check to see you're not lying. Next is a 45 mins technical screen, usually relatively easy and common data science question such as metric selection and simple coding examples. After this, the full loop interview asks questions on stats, a/b testing, reasoning, SQL coding, and product sense.

Question 1
How would you measure the success of facebook groups?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Meta (San Francisco, CA) in Oct 2024
Interview
The process usually starts with a recruiter call where they ask about your background and explain the steps. Then, you’ll have a technical screen—expect some SQL and data analysis questions. If you pass, you’ll do 3–4 more rounds, including:
Product sense (how you think about metrics and improving products),
A/B testing (designing and analyzing experiments),
SQL/data analysis (writing queries and interpreting results), and
Behavioral questions (talking about past experiences using data).
They really care about how you use data to make decisions, explain results, and work with product teams. Knowing SQL, basic stats, and being able to explain your thinking clearly is key.

Question 1
Product case questions. Was given a product case and asked follow up questions.
I applied online. I interviewed at Meta (Menlo Park, CA) in Feb 2025
Interview
A lot of emphasis on SQL preparation and coding it correctly during the interview. Also similar emphasis on having a strong product sense. I was asked two SQL questions in the technical screen followed by a deep dive into a product sense question on a meta product
