I applied through a referral. A recruiter reached out and helped set up my video interview (which had SQL and product questions). All this happened in less than a week and it was pretty smooth as the recruiter reached out with a huge list of preparation material.

Question 1
Two tables:
User actions: date|sessio_id|userid|event
session details: date|Sessionid|timespent_Sec|userid
1. Identify avg time spent per user per day
2. Create a histogram of duration on x axis, no of users on y axis which is populated by volume in each bucket
Product questions:
1. Wants to add a new banner on FB Market place which suggests to sell something on facebook , should they do it, what should be done to evaluate it ?
2. Market place transactions happen through messages - these messages went down by 10% in a month, should they be worried ? How would you go about analyzing it?
It took about 2 weeks. First the recruiter called me and we scheduled a time for tech phone screen.

Both parts relate to SPAM. SQL calculate # of posts that are SPAM yesterday. What percent of contents users view are actually SPAM

Interview
This position is very analytics. Onsite includes a presentation (for PhD), 2 rounds of case interview, 1 round of SQL, 1 round of probability & statistics. Pretty nice experience and nice office building.
