I guess I didn't get the job but who knows for sure because the recruiter and hiring manager ghosted me halfway into the process. At least try not to be completely unprofessional and send a rejection email. The interviewer seemed annoyed that he had to speak with me at all, he kept complaining about how many interviews he had done already and how many he had left. Probably dodged a bullet on this one.
I applied online. I interviewed at Nasdaq (Philadelphia, PA) in Jul 2023
Interview
Process was long and slow. Phone screening, Zoom interview, followed by long technical assessment and then what was supposed to be in person interview. I got to the assessment stage and was sent the assessment package which included 11 pages of instructions. The instructions said I have two weeks to submit. Well one week in they email me at 11pm on Sunday to say the position was filled and to not bother with the assessment anymore. At that point I had invested several hours of my free time in the assessment and was almost done. This was a long and tedious coding and data analysis assignment, so to have to spend all that time and energy and then not be given the chance to have my work evaluated and taken into consideration was frustrating, and honestly disrespectful. They should have been transparent of when they actually needed the assessment done by to be able to compare it with other candidates. It was also rude to email me the rejection at 11pm on a Sunday; it ruined my evening and night and I basically had to take part of next day off work because I couldn't sleep after that. We are real people with families, work, responsibilities. Don't waste our time like this. I'm glad I dodged the bullet because I do not want to work at a place that is so inconsiderate of people's time.
There were total 3 interview 2 were phone call and last one was suppose to be phone call but they changed it to video 10 mins before the interview. I guess they want to make sure that you are ready for challenges and sudden change.
