The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Niantic in Jan 2022
Interview
I had a not so great interview. The interviewer spent the majority of the time telling me that I was wrong and that it takes a certain kind of person to handle the toxicity in the Pokemon Go community, which felt like he was implying that I wouldn't be able to handle it, which was odd because I told him multiple times that I was an active player and a part of the community already. Overall, I left knowing this wasn't for me and I didn't want to work somewhere that spoke about their community in that way.

Question 1
Really easy questions. The only thing that was hard was trying to answer him while his teams chat was constantly going off.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Niantic (Los Angeles, CA) in Nov 2021
Interview
Multi-step virtual "onsite" with several members of the team and management. Excellent communication throughout the process and very friendly team. Most interviews conducted virtually with 2+ members of the team on each.

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Niantic (San Francisco, CA) in Jun 2018
Interview
This was a super easy interview. In the First round, you talk directly to the hiring directors who are looking to bring you on board via Google Hangout. Super easy going culture and very nice people. The role is in SF and they are looking to start ASAP. Looking for someone with marketing and tech experience.
