I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Okta (San Jose, CA) in Oct 2020
Interview
I reached out to recruiter in LinkedIn and then process started. Screening was with hiring manager followed by on-site. Screening was mix of machine learning, behavioral, choosing questions. On-site had bunch of rounds - 1. Big Data (highly unprofessional interviewer who was laughing in wrong answers). 2. Coding round (simple problem). 3. Cultural/leadership 4. Design and architecture.
In the end they offered compensation which was very low for Bay area standards and hence I rejected the offer.
Spoke with HR and 3 members of the team. Process culminated in a role play assessment delivery. There were 6 people participating on that call and they asked challenging questions.
- 4 hour coding challenge
- 1hr phone technical
- 2.5hr onsite
Team I interviewed with filled up, but they were in the process of matching me with another team after I passed the onsite. I ended up taking another offer, but my experience with the company was good, and I could definitely see myself working there
