I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Okta in Nov 2019
Interview
After applying, I received an invite from the recruiter to speak with the hiring manager. That went well and I was moved forward to a tech screen with a mission critical support engineer. After passing that, I was given a technical challenge to complete in a week where I integrated an AD domain with the Okta platform, Salesforce and DUO. I finished it in three days and had a review call with another engineer to go over it and answer more questions. The next step was a 3-person panel interview for a deeper dive on my tech skills, and they sounded happy with most of my answers, but a week later, I received an email from the recruiter saying they would not be moving forward with me. I was disappointed, but everyone I spoke with at Okta was very friendly and professional, and I'd still recommend the company.

Interview
- went to an office tour in October
- did a 4-hr coding challenge after two weeks
- did one 45-minute phone interview including discussing resumes and a coding question in mid-Nov
- did four back-to-back interviews in one day and another interview the day after in mid December. All of them are pretty standard SDE intern interviews. Not too hard but test data structure essential.
