I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Okta in Jul 2025
Interview
I had so many strange interactions with Okta, I'm confused by what's happening.
First application was auto rejected. Recruiter reached out anyways to setup a call. Then ghosted me completely.
Second application. Recruiter called me, good talk. Then immediately called me back asking for another candidate by a different name. Oops, things happen.
I got through all the interview rounds including meeting with the VP. The final decision was they were looking for a different (more junior) skillset. Why did I make the finals? Please align before making me go through hours of interviews.
A month passes and a 3rd recruiter reaches out saying I had been referred. Cool! I meet with them on the Friday, only to then be told they found another candidate the on the Monday.
Just really disorganized and somewhat disrespectful on all fronts.
