Okta interview questions

I went through several interview rounds, including a panel presentation. Most of the interviews were behavioural rather than technical, which surprised me given that the role was technical in nature. For the panel, I was asked to build a solution for a specific use case and present it. The feedback I received was that my presentation was too technical for the audience and lacked a strong storytelling component. While I understand the importance of communication skills, I believe there should have been more emphasis on assessing technical capabilities, as presentation skills can be developed over time.

The interview process at Okta typically involves five stages: an initial conversation with the recruiter, a meeting with the hiring manager, a discussion with a pre-sales leader, a panel or discovery call, and finally, an in-person meeting with the VP at their offices.
