Question 1
Q: What's the difference between Authorization and Authentication?
take home 2-hour coding assessment. implement a breadth first search over a weighted map is essentially what the problem required. The question was done over the Codility platform, this was a little stressful as the editor they have built in has 0 syntax help or intellisense features. It was just a small thing that really peeved me the entire time, because I felt like it was grading me on syntax rather than the design and solution.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Okta
Interview
The first step was a screening interview with the recruiter that lasted about 30 minutes. The focus was on my background and if/how I thought it fit with the role. There was also an opportunity to ask questions. The next step was a call with the hiring manager during which we discussed the role, my background, how my skills fit with the role, and any questions I had. From there, I spoke with a member of the team and three people who work with the team collaboratively. Each of their focus areas was different and ranged from how I solve problems, how I collaborate with peers, my career goals, and my ability to work in a fast paced environment.
