I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Okta (Toronto, ON) in Jun 2022
Interview
overall pretty straightforward forward although long. had 4 interviews that went: recruiter > hiring manager > portfolio review with sr team member > product chat / thinking challenge the chat was definitely conversational, not something you need to prep for.

Question 1
here's a variety of SSO experiences. what makes them good? bad? what would you do if you were tasked to increase conversions of this specific flow?
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Okta in Oct 2022
Interview
Completed an initial phone screen. Recruiter called me and put me on speaker phone, could barely hear them or understand what they were saying. Told them all about me and then they asked a bunch of questions about my experience that I had already answered. Next step was salary... I actually low balled the salary by about $10,000 and it was still $20,000 more than they were willing to pay --- At this point the recruiter essentially hung up on me and didn't even ask me if I had questions (which I did).
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Okta (New York, NY)
Interview
Time between the phone screen and first interview with the hiring manager was quick. I followed up with the recruiter 4 business days after the interview, and never got a response. Then over two weeks later the recruiter reaches out again to meet the rest of the team. I sit through another 2 hours of interviews, a cumulative 3 hours of my time at this point. The interviews went decently well, at least I thought so. And... I can only assume I've been ghosted. No communication whatsoever in over 3 weeks. And honestly? I guess I can only be glad I dodged a bullet. Either it's a disorganized mess over there, or they have no respect for candidates time.
