I applied online. I interviewed at Optum (Michigan City, IN) in Jan 2024
Interview
very nice smooth process, appreciate the updates as well. Recruiter communicated all along the way. Very good descriptive of what the role was as well as expectations and wages with other details that the position would include as well.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
tell me about a way that you would help to get your team excited about a change
They asked applicants to present a 5 min zoom presentation on a healthcare topic. After the interview I sent an email to follow up on the position and never received a reply. They did not send a ”we chose another applicant” or “we have filled the position “ email even months after the interview. Very unprofessional considering what they requested from applicants and the time to prepare a presentation for them.

First you speak with a recruiter who makes you you meet minimum requirements. Then a 1 hour video interview with 2 supervisors who ask typical interview questions. They end the interview with a test. They ask different scenarios and what you would do. It was all pretty simple. I did not get the job though and I believe it is because I expressed my interest in day shift only and they made it clear that they would make no guarantee on what shift you would work. Although I did state that I would work whatever shift they requested, i did prefer day shift hours. I got the feeling like they didnt want people who had any type of personality but only wanted yes people with zero t back
