I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at PayPal (Bengaluru)
Interview
My Interview was scheduled at 10 a.m. I was on time. The HR, I was supposed to report was not in office. She called me around 10:30 to inform that she will be there in 30 mins and said that some other person will be directing me. Around 11:30, I was told that I was being searched for Round1.
Gone through 4 rounds on the same day and I was Informed that I will receive a call for Managerial Round. After the exhausting day, I thought I was through all rounds and waited for the Managerial round for a week. I realised something was off. I tried to contact the HR through the mail. I didn't get any reply. Later, when I called her and asked the same, she said some lame reason and she will be calling back in 15 mins. Well, didn't get the call back!!
I wonder if the HR's were directed to handle this way instead telling the candidate is not through the interview. At least, they should tell us if we didn't get selected or else stop saying "will Inform you or will keep you posted".
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Round1 - Memory Management, some problems on Arrays, LinkedList and some basic java questions
Round 2 - Some questions on Core java.
Round 3 - LinkedList questions and about the projects I worked.
Round 4 - Bar Raiser round (I didn't know that they conduct this round). Questions on Trees, Arrays.
I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at PayPal (San Jose, CA) in Oct 2017
Interview
A recruiter contacted me, followed by a telephone interview. Then I was invited for a face-to-face interview at their San Jose location. It consisted 5 interviews from morning till afternoon. One was with the manager over the lunch. Two of them were really rude.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Largest Subarray problem. I answered but the interviewer wasn't convinced with my solution. I tried to explain, then turned out that, that person has got the definition of a sub-array wrong. And the interviewer was very rude. Understood that it would be a terrible place to work.
I applied through an employee referral. There were two telephonic interviews. Both were technical. Few questions were behavioral and rest were algorithmic, object oriented design questions and design pattern questions.
