I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at PlayStation (San Mateo, CA) in Apr 2019
Interview
Started with a phone interview with the hiring manager. Consisted with a few behaviorial questions and then a simple coding exercise at the end. Had 3 different phone screens with engineers on the team. First one went over Java syntax. Second one went over my experience working on AWS. Third one also went over AWS and some product related questions. I was scheduled for an onsite interview, but they cancelled the week before because they wanted to proceed with another candidate. I have mixed reviews because the first interviewer told me he would've accepted any job and the third interview told me there are a lot of politics involved. The second interviewer did a good job emphasizing how good it was especially being a gamer. Playstation is one of the best gaming companies out there, but I'm not sure if somewhere I'd want to work.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at PlayStation (Los Angeles, CA) in Jan 2019
Interview
Applied through a IT staffing firm. PlayStation took 3 months to get back. Could not clear the first round telephonic interview. So was not called for further rounds. The interview was detailed discussion on Java, Spring, SQL, Hibernate and Multi Threading.

Interview
Got a phone call from a Hiring manager. Asked me a few Java Spring Question. I was able to answer all of them. Then he sent me a Java coding program to complete in a day or so.
I completed the coding exercise and sent him the answer. I tested the code locally using my eclipse and made sure all the scenarios that are asked for have been tested. There was one requirement where I printed the result per file. But he was expecting it to print overall. Mine was even more granular. I mentioned this in my email too and told him that I know how to do it, but in the interest of time, I am leaving the solution as is it and if needed I would change it.
It was a complex program and I took time to complete it thoroughly.
But the interviewer did not respond back at all. Despite me sending an email, he turned a blind eye. He did not even have the basic manner of responding to the email saying, the program was good or bad.
These interviewers are too rude and egoistic and think they are the best brains in the company.
They don't even have the basic etiquettes of interviewing with the aspiring candidates.
I am deeply disappointed by the interview process and specially a few interviewers especially in a company like this.
Horrible!!
