Interview
I applied for an EA role to support a senior executive on the Tech team and within a week, I received an email from one of the senior tech recruiters at RBC for a phone screening. After the phone screening, a few days have gone by and I received a generic email saying that I "did not qualify to go to the next stage of interviews with the executive". Low and behold, a senior recruiter calls me a few days afterwards and explained that the email was sent in error. After a ton of confusion, I was asked to have a final interview with the executive herself and decided to proceed with the meeting to understand the role a bit better (this was already one month after I've applied for the role). The interview went well and it was well over 60 minutes. As a courtesy, I sent a "Thank you" email to the senior tech recruiters for making the arrangements and a week later, I received another generic email saying they've chosen a more qualified candidate for the role. I decided not to follow up and am frustrated with how the recruiters handled my application. I find it extremely rude that I took a month's effort and time with phone screenings and interviews only in return to receive a generic email that I did not get an offer and also received no feedback on why I was NOT the qualified candidate. DO BETTER. What a waste of time.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Most questions were technical and behavioural questions. The recruiters and the executive mainly asked scenario-based questions and also asked about my experiences as an EA for the past decade.

Interview
HR, Senior Leadership, Team were the 3 rounds of 30-minute conversations. Rejected the offer as compensation offered was lower than the market value. Hiring manager was disappointed to have wasted their time and went ahead with explaining why I’m too young, too inexperienced to deserve a higher compensation. I may have dodged a bullet.
Applied online, Phone interview followed by in person interview
Everything was straightforward, during the phone screen was given advice on how to prepare for the 1:1 interview and was told what specifically they are looking for in their successful candidate
