I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Rakuten (Bombaim) in Sep 2016
Interview
I applied online and the job locations were Osaka and Sendai in Japan. First I was given a very simple online Codility test after which I had a Skype interview with the Group Manager who was from Japan. I really did not enjoy the interview with the manager as he was Japanese and the pronunciations were really different and very difficult to understand. The questions were easy but I got a feeling that what I was answering were reaching the interviewer. This was the OK process. When I asked for the interview feedback, the HR didn't bother give a proper explanation. Even after following up multiple times, it was dud reply.
