easy as usually, but could be more efficient, if you're an experienced developer, should be easy to pass, so basically you can try this before others, some of the interviewer are not professional
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Rakuten
Interview
1) submitted my resume to rakuten HR at campus career fair
2) got an email to complete a programming test which had 1 problem to be completed within 60 minutes
3) was contacted by the HR for an interview at the office
4) interview was short, around 20 minutes - i was asked general questions like 'tell me about yourself', 'detail info regarding your technical background', 'why rakuten'
5) then finally i asked some questions.

all they asked me about was my technical background and stuff. nothing tricky
You have to read the book written by the CEO. Mostly put your experience to the successful pillars of the company value. Quite generally, Japanese styl,e and remember to talk out loud what you think to the interviewer.
