Question 1
Background experience mostly, if you have a portfolio that matters a lot more than education.
I applied through other source. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Rockstar Games (Leeds, England) in Jul 2022
Interview
The process was very simple and straight forward. They definitely respected my time. I applied in July 2022 and got the offer August 2022, the whole process took around a month.
Initial stage is a codility programming test in C then
a screening round with a acquisition specialist, this specialist stay's with you throughout the entire process updating you what's going on. You get incredibly fast replies when you email them asking for updates.
The next stage is a meeting with some team members, which ask you a lot and I mean A LOT, of technical question related to the position and the programming language that will be used.
When that stage is passed, the final stage is a programming test created by the previous team interviewed with. The test is fairly simple with some slightly difficult questions. The test is mostly on C++ for this role.
Then after the test, the team goes through the answers with you, discussing any improvement and anything you couldn't answer. The interviewers are very friendly, they make you feel at ease and you learn a lot from them when they explain the answers.
After all the interviewers you just have to wait to see if you get an offer, for me it took roughly 2 weeks to get an offer after the last interview.

Question 1
They just go through you CV and ask question about any projects you have done.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Rockstar Games in Jul 2022
Interview
I applied online 3 times using different sites (LinkedIn, Indeed, website) so I'm not sure which one did the trick but months later I got an email back. I did 4 rounds of phone/online interviews over the course of over a month. During one interview, they went through my reel and interviewed me about every project on it. They even offered some criticism on some of the work. Aside from that, it was all standard interview questions and meet&greets with the team.
