Interview questions [1]
Question 1
as per position they want all basic concept you know
Phone interview asking me about current work duties and skills. Pretty straight forward but definitely want you to make sure that you need to be part of all their social activities and meet all the deadlines.
The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Rockstar Games (San Diego, CA) in Jun 2016
Interview
Like getting run over by a drunk driver and then stabbed by a thug!
White-board tech interview: I aced!
Written test: I aced!
Upper mgt. tech and personality Interviews: I felt very good about!
The process was generally amiable with many rounds and requirements placed on the candidate (me). I believe this is NOT a quality employer who respects your time, knowledge, and professionalism but, IMO, an exploitative employer looking for SW newbs to wring them out for everything they have. They totally wasted my time and , in the end, made an arbitrary hiring decision.
Take note of the statistics for how few offers are extended in glassdoor interviews.
Obviously, I am not happy with Rockstar for this.
Advice: Don't waste your time with Rockstar. Don't apply, and blow them off. They will do it to you!
(If they respond they will probably say something like, "We are sorry about your experience .... We are highly selective ... " and other such patronizations.)
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
E.g., this questions was asked more than once: Can you handle stress / crunch time ("I am often under stress here, so much that I woke up and threw-up!" [no lie!])?
Also, Classic OO / C++ questions: inheritance, structure, factoring, bit-shifting, algorithms, etc. No problems here.
