Interview
After talking to a recruiter at the Ferris State University Job fair we had scheduled a interview. The interview was pretty basic and the recruiter was very positive. She did ask me a couple unsual questions.
There are five squares. One square weighs more than the rest. You have a pendulum and using only two squares at a time how would you determine the square that weighs more than the rest?
I also played this game to which from this day I am planning on buying and conquering it. It was semi frustrating, but the positive attitude of the recruiter made for a fun and serious interview which I enjoyed. I hope to hear back from them for a second interview.

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at SLB (Horseheads, NY) in Jul 2010
Interview
Staffing agency set me up with the initial phone interview. Then, I was flown in to Tulsa to do the interview. About 20 people were there to interview. We learned about the company and working conditions, and we visited the training facility in Tulsa. When we returned, we did some team building exercises. We all ate dinner together with the managers, and had a couple beers.
The next morning, we interviewed with the managers. They interviewed each applicant with at least two managers together. The average interview before mine was 40 minutes. Mine lasted 20. They offered me the job two days later, even though they said it would be more like a week before I'd know.

Interview
At first I was contacted by telephone the interview was quick and he asked me a very challenging question after I answered it correctly he decided to invite me to a second interview. The second interview was in a nice hotel with a nice room I was very impressed the first day we went into a conference room in the hotel where they sat us by name. Then a presentation on each segment of the company followed by a brief self-description of each of us and a personal Macgyver moment. Then we took a bus trip to a nearby job site where we were given a tour after the tour we went back to the conference room and had a group exercise to test leadership skills etc. Afterwards there was a dinner were we could drink beer or wine the dinner was also impressive. The next day we had exit interviews which consisted of 20 minutes with two managers not the recruiter they asked a variety of questions and reviewed my resume moments later they sent me home. Overall it was a good and comfortable experience.
