Shopify Data Science interview questions

I applied and got a recruiter call. Main question was to describe your "life story" and what had led you to this point in your career and led you to apply to Shopify.

1. Initial screening - talking about your "life story" with HR/recruiter. Going over resume/experience, interest in company/industry, career goals, etc. 2. 1h15m Peer programming exercise on CoderPad (in python). I was paired with a current data scientist and worked through an analysis problem on a small data set. I discussed my approach, coded the solution, and tried test cases. It was fairly relaxed/not too stressful and he actually stepped in and helped at minor points when I got stuck. 3. Supposedly there's another technical interview/panel interview (possibly) but I didn't get past the first stage.
