I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Shopify (Dublin, Dublin) in Nov 2017
Interview
I went through 3 stages:
Stage 1 - Set up a Shopify Store using specific features.
This is fairly simple. Set up a Shopify Store with any product you like and add the features requested including a drop down menu, and embedded video.
Stage 2 - Skype Call with Talent Acquisition team member.
The interview was very relaxed, asking open questions about my life. The interviewer was extremely helpful throughout. The interviewer pointed out that he did not see my CV, nor did he see my Shopify Store. This is to limit bias, and provide a basis for making a decision purely on my personality, suitability to Shopify's culture
Stage 3 - The Gauntlet
Over the course of an hour, I had to answer 2 questions over the phone (shipping, and personalisation product field), answer 2 questions at the same time using both Shopify chat and Skype chat and finally, answer 2 emails. Feedback was provided throughout. While I was unsuccessful, I found the process to be fair. In particular, during the Gauntlet, the person asking the questions was patient and extremely helpful.
If I was to do it again, I would be more diligent in understanding Shopify features prior to the interview.
The first Interview was on phone interview. I did not pass through to next stage of the process, which was an online test. After that would be another formal interview.
I applied online. I interviewed at Shopify (Vancouver, BC)
Interview
The interview process was pretty intense. They asked me about my life story, but I’d also created a store before that. Then I had to do a technical interview where I pretended I already had the job.

Interview
The interview experience was professional, friendly and organized. Interviewee did notify via email whether I got the offer or not. Great to hear back the results since typically companies don't.
