I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Shopify (Donegal) in Jul 2021
Interview
I'd like to leave a warning about the life story interview. The details about this on their website and the email you get beforehand are misleading. It's possible that some interviewers do carry out a true 'life story' interview but my experience was that this was a regular job interview. I was asked about my resume, they went in depth on 2 roles I've done so you do need to go back and know exactly what you did at your former employer, what they did, what their mission statement is, their management style, the products/service they provide etc... I was asked the usual 'describe a time when'...I was asked what I do in my spare time. How my roles compared. Why I wanted to work for Shopify. What I know about Shopify. This is all your regular corporate job interview stuff but if you rely on the info they give about how the 'life story' goes you will not be prepared for this time of grilling.
They are also very nice so don't mistake their politeness as conformation that you will be moving forward.
This is a pretty good gig for those looking for remote work and you don't want to blow it at the first hurdle so prepare for a regular old interview and don't get caught out.

What services did your previous employer provide? What do you do for fun? What do you know about Shopfy? Why did you chose Shopify? Tell me about a time you failed? Tell me about a time you went above and beyond? What does customer service mean to you? What does trust mean to you? How long were you at your first job? What is your greatest strength?

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Shopify (Londres, Inglaterra) in May 2022
Interview
The process was straight forward, I filled out the form on the Shopify website from which it took about 2 days to hear back with an invite to a lifestyle interview. There it was just about getting to know me and how I got on the road that has led me to apply for this position.
After that I was invited to a technical interview which consisted of 2 chats and a Email.
Overall I highly recommend creating a test store before the technical interview as it helped out a lot in preparation.
The whole process took about a month
