I applied online. I interviewed at Shopify (Singapura) in Oct 2021
Interview
I came across this job on several platforms like Indeed and LinkedIn and decided to learn more through their website and eventually applied online via Smartr.
There are a total of 3 stages;
Online application where you have to answer a series of questions such as a problem you encountered recently and how did you resolve it, what did I learn recently and how did it impact my life after on, and lastly a simulation email reply to a merchant with am enquiry regarding free shipping.
2nd interview aka Life Story with Lauren was very pleasant. As many have highlighted here, it is mostly a casual conversation and not a them questioning you like you're on trial. I really appreciated it as it allows us to be ourselves and not trying to have scripted answers which would be pointless in truly getting to know how that someone ticks.
Lastly, the Gauntlet was very challenging. 2 simultaneous chats following by a phone call role play. Despite being in the Hospitality industry for 9 years, it still managed to throw me off my boat every now and then. However, it is important that you know how to manage and gather yourself while trying to help the merchant. I noticed some people criticizing this process as being impossible since we are not trained yet to handle those questions. I however believe that despite being trained, there would eventually be questions thrown as us that we can't answer off our heads. The purpose of this interview is to assess how you would manuveour through that stress and engage the merchant while sourcing for a solution. If the answer was readily accessible, Shopify wouldn't be able to identify potential candidates who have the skills to not flip out whenever encountering an unknown situation (which I foresee will happen more often than not).
Finally, I was asked to provide 3 references a day after my technical interview while they go over my interview results.
This process took around 3 weeks and I'm still awaiting their reply as my references just completed the reference check survey yesterday. I do hope for good news!

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Shopify (Londres, Inglaterra) in May 2022
Interview
The process was straight forward, I filled out the form on the Shopify website from which it took about 2 days to hear back with an invite to a lifestyle interview. There it was just about getting to know me and how I got on the road that has led me to apply for this position.
After that I was invited to a technical interview which consisted of 2 chats and a Email.
Overall I highly recommend creating a test store before the technical interview as it helped out a lot in preparation.
The whole process took about a month
