I had 9 interviews on 3 different roles/occasions always make it through the life story process and good rapport with the recruiter and was referred from one role to the next. I have a tonne of AV and TV experience and was always sure I would get an offer in fact I was so confident I was working on solutions that were shared by leads and technicians during our interviews. I was gutted each and every time I didn't get an offer and was shuffled to the next potential role. All I could think bc I was given no feedback was I am too old to work at Shopify. I received this form letter "The team really enjoyed meeting you, and left the door open for you to apply again in the future but I don’t have any specific feedback to share right now. It was just a really competitive process with internal and external talent. I would love to keep in touch for future opportunities! Thanks again for your time, and I hope to talk to you soon!" I received lots of interest online from Shopify production staff later but have essentially given up working for them bc i am convinced I don't fit the mold of the (28-40) male from Ottawa.
