I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Shopify (Galway) in Sep 2016
Interview
Application stage involves creating a sample store for review. I got called for a Skype interview a few days later; was given the opportunity to book a time that was suitable for me which was great! The skype interview was very relaxed - it was more of a getting to know you session, as they want to learn about your personality and your interests rather than every job you've ever had. The day after the Skype interview I was invited to book a time to undertake 'The Gauntlet' which is basically a trial run of phone, chat and email support over the space of 3 hours, where the interviewer actually gave feedback as we went along. I was offered the job the same day.

Interview
Applied online and set up my own shopify shop then got called for a Skype interview with one of the talent acquisition team. Very casual and more a chat however I feel if you don't get on really well with this person or "fit in" you can expect to not get called back. All employees quite hippy, alternative, quirky etc so do not attend interview in a suit!!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Starting question was what were you like as a child, why do you want to work at Shopify, your work experience etc Every interview different as depends where the chat leads.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Shopify (Vancouver, BC) in Mar 2016
Interview
Super challenging, but in the best way possible! They really utilize practicality and emphasize on resourcefulness. It's all about whether or not you can do something instead of explaining how to do it. The want to know your life story instead of a resume, you have to design a shop and then they test you on how well you adapt to the day to day of a guru.
