Shopify Senior Software Developer interview questions

Recruiter call followed by 1-on-1 pair programming. The engineer I worked with was polite, AI tools were allowed, but I'm not sure it was wise to use them. They ask you to do a fairly simple exercise and then refactor and improve. I was a little rusty and nervous so I did not do well enough to get another interview.

Immediately scheduled into a technical assessment with another engineer. It was done through CoderPad. It was a collaborative exercise and the engineer was very helpful with syntax issues. They also suggested using ChatGPT.
