I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Shopify in Feb 2021
Interview
I applied online in January, and heard back from a recruiter to schedule a life story interview about 1 month later. If you pass this interview, then had another interview where I walked through a project. Wait time for offer is approximately 1 week after final interview.

Interview
They make you write 5 200 word essays describing various situations you've been in/experienced, and also make you do a non-trivial technical challenge. I spent a good 3 days writing responses and completing the challenge, going above and beyond on all the stated requirements. A month later, I get a generic email back saying I will not be moving forward, with no feedback at all. I know rejections are part of the job application process and I'm used to it, but it's especially bothersome given the number of hoops they make you jump through to apply and they send you a simple rejection email with no feedback. This recruiting process reeks of a company that is so full of itself.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Shopify (Toronto, ON) in May 2020
Interview
